01

Context

International warehouse and regional operations relied on Microsoft Dynamics and inventory data to understand stock position, product performance and future supply needs.

02

Challenge

Data from multiple warehouses needed to be brought into one consistent reporting view. The solution also had to support both current stock counts and forward-looking stockout questions for operational planning.

03

Approach

I integrated Microsoft Dynamics and warehouse data using Power Query, then developed the reporting model, DAX measures and validation logic in Power BI.

The resulting 55-page suite organised global supply-chain visibility, stock counts and stockout forecasting into reporting views designed for recurring operational use.

04

Technical detail

  • Power Query transformations across warehouse and regional data
  • DAX measures for inventory status and operational performance
  • Power BI reporting for stock visibility and stockout forecasting

05

Outcome

The reporting suite supported inventory planning, forecasting and regular reporting of operational and product performance to senior leadership. It also provided a foundation for ad hoc analysis and early forecasting work used in commercial decisions.
